The Border Studies Advisory Board held its annual meeting November 1-3 in El Paso and Juárez.

Program Associate Erick welcomes friends Gypsy, Elliott (Lewis and Clark), Steve (Oberlin), and Greg (Earlham) to Casa Puente.


Anneka and Jo take a moment away from studying to welcome the Advisory Committee members.

During dinner, Ginger gives a presentation about Albergue Bolivia, her field study site, while Marissa and Elliott look at photos of the mural project she created and has been working on with the kids.


After observing Socrates Cafe, Advisory Committee members Cindy (Heidelberg), Leslie (Vassar), Paul (Macalester), and Jennifer (Kenyon) meet with Ricardo from the History department at UACJ.

Cafe Mayapan cooked a delicious lunch for the group. The cafe is part of a women's co-op in El Paso.


The group re-energizes over a delicious lunch and great conversation!
