ARGOS: Your Connection to the Ancient World Internet

This is a discriminating search engine for web materials in the classics. Rather than return all sites with, for example, the keyword "Plato," ARGOS "intelligently" distinguishes sites pertaining to the Greek philosopher from those that pertain to home automation systems or to secondary school software packages.

The Perseus Project
The fruits of a project begun more than a decade ago, this is a phenomenal site containing complete texts of all the most widely-read literature from ancient Greece, in both Greek and translation; complete on-line reference works including Liddell-Scott-Jones and an encyclopedia; hundreds of images of vases, statuary, and archaeological sites; excellent built-in search engines to enable you to do word or keyword searches across texts, art, and reference works.
