Writing Lab Tutors for Spring 2008
Sophie Erickson, Katie Jones, Jess Waggoner, Evelyn Hollenshead, Carlos Paredes

The Writing Lab

It doesn't matter if you need to write a response paper for IP or a senior thesis in economics; the Writing Lab can help. The Writing Lab tutors can help at any stage in the writing process - brainstorming, organization, drafts, and final editing. They will work with you to improve your writing, not just your paper.

Some Misconceptions about Writing Tutors

Tutors are just proofreaders.

  •    Not exactly. Tutors improve writers, not papers.
  • Tutoring takes lots of time.

  •    Wrong again. One or two good sessions with a tutor makes writing a paper uses time more efficiently.
  • This paper has to be finished before I can get help.

  •    Tutors can help during the writing process - from brainstorming to final draft.
  • Tutoring is for poor writers only.

  •    A tutoring session can help even the most skilled writer clarify ideas.
  • Where and When Can You Find Us?
