Richmond - The Rose City

Earlham’s campus is at home in Richmond, Indiana — twice named an All-America City by the National Civic League.  An active community an easy drive from the three metropolitan cities of Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Dayton, Richmond is also notable as the birthplace of recorded jazz.

The Richmond/Wayne County region often acts as a classroom, with off-campus ventures taking students into the many natural areas for scientific exploration; into museums and theaters for cultural experiences; and into area non-profits for service opportunities.

In Richmond, students will find great dining options within walking distance of campus, locally owned retail shops and larger chain stores, and many opportunities for fun.
