Introduction to the Academic Dean's Office The Academic Dean is also the Vice President for Academic Affairs of the college. His office is located on the main floor of Carpenter Hall in the East most wing. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. We can be reached by phone at 765/983-1318. Who is in the Academic Dean's Office? Greg Mahler, Academic Dean and Vice President for Academic Affairs; Professor of Politics Kari Kalve, Associate Academic Dean; Associate Professor of English Alice A. Shrock, Associate Academic Dean for Program Development; Professor of History Janice Bragg, Adminstrative Assistant to the Academic Dean What do they do there? Earlham's Academic Dean, Associate Academic Deans, College Registrar and their support staff oversee and administer an array of acadmic and faculty policies, procedures and guidelines. They are concerned with the academic experience of students at Earlham College, including issues related to curriculum, the library, and students' international study experience. The International Programs Office, Wilderness Programs and Information Services report to the Academic Dean. |
