Transfer Admission Application Deadlines
Earlham accepts transfer applications for either the fall or spring semester.

Application Requirements Checklist
— for Transfer Students —
- Basic Application Form – The student completes, providing personal information, high school and college information, academic interest(s), extra-curricular activities, etc. Earlham uses the Common Application exclusively.
- Nonrefundable $30 application fee – You can pay on-line when you submit your application through Common Application On-Line or mail a check payable to Earlham College.
- Dean's Report – It is important that an appropriate person from each college or university you have attended complete this form, a standard requirement of transfer students applying to most colleges and universities.
- Professor's Recommendation – The faculty member of your choice completes and submits this part of the application. Tip: choose a professor who knows your academic work well and will be able to write a positive, supportive recommendation for you.
- Standardized Test Scores – SAT Reasoning or ACT scores are required. Make sure you request that the College Board (SAT) or the American College Testing Service (ACT) send your scores to Earlham: use Earlham's SAT code number, 1195 or our ACT code number,1186. SAT Subject scores will be considered in our review of your application, but are not required for admission.
- Transcripts – Please make sure that you submit an official high school transcript, and official transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended.
- Application Essay – The Common Application includes an essay section.Your essay should be an original piece of writing, preferably not a previously written class assignment. This piece of writing should demonstrate your thinking process and writing style. Suggested length is two to three typed pages.
- Additional Transfer Statement – In addition to the application essay, as a transfer applicant, you should prepare a statement about why you wish to continue your college education at Earlham. You may determine the length of this statement.
