International Admissions

Each year there are approximately 144 international students and several international faculty members on campus. The students include both four-year degree-seeking and one-year exchange students. Students come from places such as Turkey, Japan, Kenya, India, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, Palestine, Russia and Mexico. The international student population comprises 12 percent of the student body. While this figure is substantial compared with other liberal arts colleges our size, the College is committed to increasing the international population. Earlham is also internationalized by students (over 60 percent of each graduating class) and faculty (nearly two-thirds overall) involved in study abroad programs who bring their ideas and experiences back to the community and the classroom.

Your International Student Application Form is a very important source of information about you. Please be sure it is as complete as possible. The Application Deadlines and International Application Requirements Checklist will assist you with the process.

International Student Services

The International Programs Office (IPO) serves several functions in the internationalization of the campus. While working with students who wish to study off campus is one of its responsibilities, advising international students on matters of immigration regulations, cultural adaptation and practical concerns is another. IPO provides an orientation program prior to New Student Orientation for all newly enrolling students. IPO is also a source of advice,
support and information throughout a student’s time at Earlham.
