Plan a Visit

During the academic year, the Admissions Office is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Although regular classes are not in session during the summer, the Admissions Office is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and an interview and tour can be scheduled. We also offer special visit days (Summer Experience at Earlham) for students during the summer.

IMPORTANT: Richmond, IN now observes Daylight Saving Time.  Indiana now follows the Eastern Time Zone, observing Eastern Daylight Time from March to November and Eastern Standard Time from November to March.

Please read the following information completely before contacting us to arrange your visit:

Making arrangements

  • Visits can be planned year round, with the exception of a few national holidays.
  • Interviews and tours are available Monday-Friday all year.
  • Overnights are offered Sunday through Thursday during the academic year and are limited to one night. We do not offer overnights on Friday or Saturday nights. During April, overnights are only available for admitted students.
  • Prospective students who are planning a visit in April should try to plan their visits before the last week of that month.  Only tours and interviews will be available during the last week of April.
  • Please review the information on the Visit FAQ page concerning what activities are available to senior, junior and sophomore/freshman prospective students.
  • For more information on what activities are available on specific dates, please see the Admissions Calendar.
  • Parents should see the accommodation information, as we are unable to host them in the residence halls.
  • Class visits are available during the academic year. Please let us know your interests as soon as possible so that we can schedule the classes you want to see.
  • Special appointments are available during the academic year in academic and other areas of interest. During the last week of March and throughout the month of April, special appointments are available only for seniors. It is important to attend your special appointments. Please let us know as soon as possible if your plans change.
  • Please call our office at 1-800-EARLHAM (1-800-327-5426) or 765-983-1600 at least one week in advance to confirm your visit arrangements. You can also contact our office by e-mail or use the online Visit Request Form to request a visit.

Getting to campus

  • If you are traveling by car, we will send you a map and directions to campus or you can refer to the directions on our site.
  • Shuttles are available during the academic year for prospective students traveling alone from the Dayton International Airport.
  • College shuttles leave from and return to the Dayton International Airport Sundays through Fridays, and run only during the academic year.
  • All shuttles are scheduled in advance. Please contact the campus visit coordinators before confirming flight arrangements. (Students arriving at the Dayton Airport will be met by an Earlham student driver at the baggage claim area near the Budget Car Rental counter.)
