Katherine Cole '75

Cole _katherineKatherine Cole '75 majored in Biology. At Earlham she was active in the music program, serving as accompanying pianist at many school events. She participated in Wilderness Pre-term, Florida Biology term, and Earlham’s program in Edinburgh, Scotland and worked as a research assistant for Lucky Ward.

Katherine earned an M.D. from the University Of Kentucky College Of Medicine in 1980, and finished a residency in Family Medicine at the University of Iowa in 1983. Her career in Family Medicine has included 4 years in rural practice in Iowa, 22 years as a clinician and faculty at Fairfax Family Practice in Fairfax Virginia. She is currently a faculty physician at the Fairfax Family Practice in Fairfax, Va.

She is an active member of Herndon Friends Meeting in Herndon where she lives with her husband, Terence McCormally, and her two children Anna '12 and Sam '07. Katherine began her term on the Alumni Council in 2009 where she currently serves on the Recognition Committee.
