Faculty Development & Academic Initiatives

Earlham’s faculty is the cornerstone of the College’s academic enterprise. Faculty members do not simply teach — they learn and they grow as scholars and as citizens. They sponsor research programs and academic initiatives; they collaborate with students; they explore the frontier of human knowledge and experience.

Earlham’s quality education can be maintained only if the College continues to attract the finest faculty members and support them once they’re here. For that reason, Earlham seeks funds to support professional development and other academic initiatives — to enable the College to offer more competitive salary packages; extend opportunities for faculty to attend crucial seminars or conferences; support sabbaticals for continuing education; and extend funds for new faculty members to organize their classrooms, labs and curriculum.
