Each year, Earlham's senior class — led by a volunteer committee of dedicated students — begins a philanthropic relationship with the College through the Senior Gift program.
Class of 2009 - Wind and Solar Renewable Energy Projects at Miller Farm: In addition to reducing Earlham’s carbon footprint, the Miller Farm Sustainable Energy Project will serve as an educational space for the Earlham and Richmond communities, exposing people of all ages to environmentally sustainable living. Read more about their gift and see how they surpassed their goal of $8,500.
The class of 2008 contributed to Student/Faculty Collaborative Research in Memory of Professor of History Bob Southard. This is an already established fund through the Earlham Fund and allows for any student/faculty research in any department throughout campus to apply for funding for their research project. Gifts totaled $9,414.86 and 16% of the class participated.
The class of 2007 contributed to the Foreign Student Emergency Fund. This fund is used for international students who demonstrate a need for extra or emergency funding (travel costs, books, etc.) to enable them to attend Earlham. Gifts totaled $7607.51 and 22% of the class participated.
The class of 2006 contributed to the William Palinski Annual Scholarship. This is a scholarship that had already been established. It is designated to benefit a senior in financial need during their final year of classes. Gifts totaled $12,471.52 and 47% of the class participated.
