Howell Gatchell '69
Howell Gatchell '69 majored in political science. As a student he participated in WECI, serving as station manager for two-and-a-half years while also working at commercial radio stations in Richmond. Howell lives in Bakersfield, California. He works as News Director for radio stations KUZZ AM/FM and KCWR (FM), using the on-air name "Mark Howell." He also produces a weekly jazz music show for WECI. Howell began his term on the Alumni Council in 2005. He is a member of the Marketing Committee and is the Southern California Alumni Association convener. His favorite memories of Earlham include individual attention from professors and the friendships, on and off campus, that have endured through the years.
