Obituaries:
Elizabeth Reedy
Elizabeth "Bee" Reedy, 97, of Plainfield died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009 at Millpond Health Campus in Greencastle. She was born on May 18, 1911 in Friona, Texas to Horace and Gertrude Shaw Ballard. She was a 1928 graduate of Plainfield High School. She married Wesley W. Reedy in Nov. 1936 in Plainfield. He preceded her in death in 1969. Mrs. Reedy was a buyer for Wm. H. Block Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1964. She was a member of the Plainfield Friday Club, a volunteer at Hendricks County Hospital Guild, a server for Meals on Wheels and was a founding member of the Hendricks County Community Foundation. Survivors include eight nieces and nephews, the families of Philip Ballard of Bodega Bay, Calif., Marilynn Sturgeon of Greencastle, Sara Niles '63 of Fort Wayne, John Milhous of Amherst, Va., Robert Milhous and Paul Milhous, both of Boca Raton, Fla., Nancy Wilson of West Union, S.C. and Rose Ann McHenry of Rockville, Md. Also surviving are many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
