Lowell Root
RICHMOND, Ind. -- Lowell E. "Pee Wee" Root, age 92, of Richmond, died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at his home. He was born Feb. 21, 1917, in Lynn, Ind., to Charles P. and Bertha Farlow Root. Lowell was a Richmond High School graduate and attended Miami University and Earlham College. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. Lowell was a P.O.W. and earned three bronze stars and four Oak Leaf Clusters. He was a salesman in the food industry for many years. Lowell was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He enjoyed reading and spending time with his family. Survivors include his children, Patricia Bash and her husband, Dr. Stephen E. Bash of Peoria, Ill., Deborah Stafford and her husband, Dr. Thomas M. Stafford of Fort Wayne, Dr. James L. Root and his wife, Judy of Goodlettsville, Tenn., and Thomas C. Root of Richmond; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, to whom he was married Oct. 3, 1942, Lois Irene Purkhiser Root, who died Jan. 21, 1991.

Robert Mac Millan Reagan
REAGAN--Robert M., passed away on February 17, 2009. Beloved Husband of Marilyn. Devoted Father of Karen Reagan '64 and Hilda Kauffman. Survived by grandson, Will Gorham, great-granddaughter, Larkin. Born Poughkeepsie, NY, served in the military during WWII, Graduated NYU Law, Appointed Asst. US Attorney, Litigator in NY Courts, retired from NYC Human Resources Administration. Administrative Law Judge. Pro-bono Arbitrator in Night Court. Member American Judges Assn. Past Commander American Legion, Admen's Post 209. Member of Galway Assn. Of New York.
