The homecoming and reunion for the class of 59 has come and gone and it was a wonderful event. It was well attended, filled with stories,
laughter, renewed friendships and fifty years of catching up. There was an impressive display of diversity of talent and depth of achievement in our classmates that we can be proud to be a part of. It is also a reflection of the product of our Earlham education. On Friday evening we had a large gathering at the Hampton Inn hosted by the Hansons, Folkerths, and Marilyn Bigelow which was an informal, get reaquainted kickoff to the weekend. Name tags were a neccessity! On Saturday morning a memorial service for 53 of our deceased classmates was held at the Meetinghouse with Jack Kirk presiding. This was followed by the Outstanding Alumni Awards which included our classmate Kay Krewson Pickering and Bunny Heafield Hamilton from the class of '58. The traditional Saturday evening dinner at the Forest Hills Country Club. had over 100 people in attendance and we were honored by the company of our former history professor and then President Landrum Bolling. He is truly a remarkable example of a life well lived and an inspiration to us all, and still going strong at 96! Remember that he gave us our diplomas on the seventh of June 1959. Sunday brunch at Julie Owens's farmhouse was special and a fitting end to a very memorable weekend. Please keep in touch with the Earlhamite. p.s. The football team lost to Oberlin.

Dear Classmates....
What a group we were.....!!! What a marvelous group we still are!!!!!!!!!! To all of you who traveled from far away or from nearby, I send my love and admiration to all....Thanks to each of you we had an exceptionally large turnout...which was wonderful!!!!!!! That turnout, amazing as it was, kept us all from reconnecting with everyone individually, except for the hugs and kisses on arrival! Nevertheless, I for one, feel strongly connected to this special class...To each of you I send my thank you (s) plural.... for coming.... My next question is where and when is the next get together...Then comes the refrain in my head....Blest be the ties that bind....We are all still bound together... with all that we have experienced in our lives... our relationship with each other continues....The glow is ongoing! I send my admiration, my love to all! May we meet again!!!!!!!!

&Dentistry has been helping to move the core of each collection to a new home at the University of CT Health Center. Then at the end of April,I retired from full time work with the society and started out on a cross-country trip with my husband, Roger in our car. We attended his military reunion at Fort Sill, OK and stopped to reconnect to old friends in the Carolinas, California, Colorado, Ohio and a fellow alumni, Sharon Rider '58 in San Antonio,TX. It was wonderful to visit other people's favorite places. We spent five weeks on the highways of USA and enjoyed every day of it. Now we are back to sorting photos and catching up with children, grandchildren and local politics.
