Class of 1962

Class Chair:

Susan Bienstock Burke 703/698-7774; danandsueburke@cox.net

Class Notes:

Marjorie Frazer Lacey
My sad news is that Hal Lacey, my husband of 45 years, died Feb. 13, 2008, after a lengthy illness. Though Hal did not attend Earlham, a few alumni might remember him as the Palladium-Item reporter who covered Earlham sports in the late 1950's and early 1960's. My good news is that the book I have been working on for several years has been published and is now available through Amazon and also from the publisher via http://www.buybooksontheweb.com/. Titled "It's Not a Life Sentence," the book is a self-help guide to discovering and nurturing one's own authentic self. I highly recommend it! I still live in Vista, California, and welcome any Earlhamites who might be in the area.

I am sorry to miss the reunion. I hope to be at the 50th. Had I come, I would have enjoyed hearing the answers to the questions for conversation. A few updates on me: After 15 years working with the Ecumenical Institute and Institute of Cultural Affairs (sister organizations) working on church renewal programs and third world village development, I spent the majority of the rest of work life in real estate development. My avocational life has been/is being spent primarily in two endeavors: working through my Quaker Meeting on local community projects and various attempts at creating a culture of peace (with an emphasis on feminist theology). If anyone is near the southern Vermont area, look me up!
