Nancy Faller Strand
Having spent the last 20+ years in software sales for surveyors and civil engineering firms, I am now embarking on my third career - going back to school for a massage therapy license. My oldest is getting settled in upstate NH and my youngest has two more years of high school left, so I'll be staying in the FL west coast area (about one hour south of Tampa)at least that much longer. Old friends are welcome to contact me: Email Nancy Strand

Lawrence H. Passmore
"My 20 years of working in foundation/ government relations at The Philadelphia Orchestra Association ended in mid-March when I was laid off as part of a 20% administrative staff reduction. Fortunately, my weeks of unemployment were relatively few. Within days of being laid off, I learned of another position in foundation relations in the arts, and I began interviewing within a week. In early May I accepted an offer from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) to become their Director of Foundation Relations, a newly-created position. I began working there in early June. PAFA, founded in 1805, is both a museum focused on American art (with some paintings that any American would recognize) and an art school - the nation's first, and one of its foremost. I have been warmly welcomed by my fellow staff members - this warmth is apparently a well-known attribute of the Academy. This is my first job not connected to music, and the warm welcome is making this move to visual arts is less of a challenge than I had anticipated! I'm glad to still be working in Philadelphia's vibrant arts community -- and still on Broad Street, but now two blocks north of City Hall instead of several blocks south."
