I have been promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in Urban Planning + Design at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. I enjoyed the Class of '83 reunion and I want to make it to the Class of '84 event.

Neil writes, "Greetings from your class chairs....Pam, Neil and Tracy.
It was great to see so many of you at our 25th Class Reunion. Over 40 classmates and spouses joined in the weekend festivities which began Friday afternoon, October 17th.  Arrivals met at Runyan Center and hung out on the back porch as Earlhamites in twos, threes and fours began to arrive.  As we registered, we were so "moved" by the thoughtfulness of whoever chose to affix our 1983 yearbook picture to our nametags.  (More hair; fewer kids....)
We enjoyed listening to the inspiring concert by Sweet Honey in the Rock and the new (and more padded) seating of Goddard Auditorium.  Next, we explored the local nightlife at Chuck's Sports Bar until Tracy decided that we had enough fun and it was time to go home.  Fortified by breakfast at the local Bob Evans, we returned to campus for various Homecoming Events -- birding in the morning, cheering on Men and Women's Soccer, attending the alumni lunch and taking the Class Photo inside the state-of-the-art Wellness Center.  Others wandered the campus to reminisce and tour the facilities, new (Mills Hall) and Old (ahhhhh the Sweet Smell of Bundy).  The centerpiece event of the evening was dinner at the Scott House followed by the ritual return to Clara's for pizza, beer and nostalgia (the latter fueled by the former).  Sunday breakfast found us at the Comstock Room before a strong contingent wandered over to the Meeting House for meeting for worship.
In all, it was a tremendous weekend.  We laughed a lot, we talked a lot and we remembered why Earlham was such a special place for all of us.
A special thanks to Ned and Carol Daggy Pennock for their efforts in rallying classmates to mark our 25th by pledging financial support to the college.  Ned and Carol reported that we had nearly met our goal of $30,000 for the 08-09 giving year.  Many classmates stepped forward and gave on the spot.  Given the latest financial news, these were strong testaments to the impact of the Earlham experience and the commitment to passing it on to others.  Many, many thanks to all who have given and who are preparing to give in the coming months."

Grady Burch
Grady writes, “Some day I may make a return trip to Earlham for the reunion. Florida is a ways away.  This year both my children are teenagers, energy issues will determine the president, it is officially a long time since I was in college, and I recently competed in my first ever surf contest.”  As an engineer working with architects in the building industry, his work load is good but they are concerned with the economy.
