When I moved from New York City to Columbus, OH in 1995, I had no idea I would still be living here 13 years later! Aside from digital photography, jewelry making, and random creative projects, my fine arts degree hasn't been utilized much in the past decade. After getting downsized from America Online in 2001, I have mostly been working in the automotive industry. I am currently the Internet Sales Manager at Nissan/North - a long-standing, ethical dealership (is that any oxymoron?), where I don't have to compromise my values. When I'm not at work, I enjoy going to car shows in my 1965 Plymouth Barracuda, taking roadtrips, going to flea markets, selling stuff on eBay, and making compilation CDs. (I still have a huge vinyl & CD collection and haven't joined the iPod revolution yet.) **Shameless promotion time: I'll gladly offer invoice pricing on almost any Nissan vehicle to EC students, alumni, or friends. Drop me a note if you're interested. Hey, drop me a note even if you're not interested!

I have decided upon a career change and am going to University of Albany to get an MSIS. I want to become a public librarian and am currently working as a reference librarian in two local libraries while pursuing my degree.

I currently live in Yonkers, New York just outside of the city and have been working in this area since graduation. I lived 14 years with my significant other and we adopted a child. My ex did very well with a commercial social research company, but he became sick with medical and psychiatric instability. Although we never had any legal rights we were active over the years in gay/lesbian family weeks in Provincetown, MA, and without anything legal he still helps me at times with child support. Fortunately my ex has built a house up in Monteverde Costa Rica where we recently returned from after visiting the local Quaker meeting and school a wonderful place - Even ran into an old classmate there! Our favorite vacations have been Amsterdam, New Orleans, Savannah, Florida, Colorado, Costa Rica, Provincetown, Fire Island, and of course all the culture and beauty of New York City!
Although there were dozens of professors at Earlham that taught me alot, the most relevant and best professors for me were Steve Butler, Howard Richards, Barbara Caruso, Garret Boone and Bill Harvey. What I mean is we forget alot of what we learn (I'm 46 now, had brain trauma, and rehabilitation while I was at Earlham), but those specific professors are the ones I remember the most and some vital information they gave to me about what my future held. Alot of the others I remember what they looked like and some of their class subjects, but those 5 professors from different backgrounds, different subjects are the ones who pop up in my mind from time to time about some subject or another. I hope Earlham is still the great experience it was for me for the children today! Anyone drop me a line if you remember I was there from 80 - 86, and if you're in NYC I might always have room for a guest.

I would like to announce my wonderfully spontaneous marriage to my long term partner of over 15 years, George H. Wilson, III. The brief ceremony took place at noon on December 31st, 2007. Officiating was Col. Ulysses Xerxes White (ret). Backyard type Spring and Summer parties are in the planning. We are still about an hour West of D.C. and would love to hear from old friends and faculty Email Karla Eisen
