Hello fellow classmates! I'm writing to say hello from Houston. I returned to Houston after graduation and I am still here!! In 2005, I got my masters in business (MBA) from Texas A&M and I continue to cycle when I have some spare time. Speaking of which, I completed my 9th MS150 bicycle ride. It's a 180 mile ride from Houston to Austin with a one night stay in LaGrange.
In terms of Earlham, I return the college now twice a year serving on Alumni Council. I want everyone to remember that next year is our 20th year since graduation, so start making plans now to return to Earlham! I hope to see you all then or the next time you are in Houston.

Charles Planck
Charles Planck, is happy to report that he and his wife now have three children after adopting a 12 year old girl who had been in state foster care. She is fitting in wonderfully with her two new younger sisters. The girls are now 13, 9 and 5 and are doing all they can to keep us young. We are outside of Boston where I work for the commuter rail system, trying to keep a few more cars off the roads so I can bike safely. Visits and contact are always encouraged.

Dale Dugas
Finished with my first year of nursing school and already have begun my second and last year. I will be graduating and taking my national exam sometime in early 2009 and then on to being a fulltime RN... Busy with school and teaching internal martial arts locally as well as national seminars. Would love to catch up with old friends. Happy New Year to all and I look forward to seeing people next year at the 20th reunion of our commencement. Oh my lord...

life, why sex is nearly universal among multicellular eukaryotes, and why the vast majority of species that abandon sexual reproduction are rapidly driven to extinction.
Dr. Mark Welch
received his B.A. from Earlham College and his Ph.D. from Harvard University. He began his career at the MBL in 2001 following a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard.
