Emily and Bill really enjoyed visiting Earlham again for Emily's 15th. We had a blast! It was great being able to stay up late and hang out with folks again. Since moving back to Minnesota in the summer of 2008 it makes it easier to get to Earlham and much closer to many of our old friends! Bill is now working as an R&D Project Manager at Boston Scientific and Emily is the Head of Technical Services at the St. Catherine University Library. We would love to hear from old (and new) friends from Earlham and let us know if you are ever in the Twin Cities.

It was great to see so many friends in Richmond at the reunion! I'm currently working as an Assistant State's Attorney here in Baltimore. After years of running other people's campaigns, I've launched my own campaign for the Maryland House of Delegates! You can learn more about my race by dropping me a line at

Peter and I were pleased to come back to Earlham for our 15th reunion and catch up with old friends who feel like famly. We are still here in Oregon where we enjoy raising our four kids. Peter recently went back to school to get a CPA degree and started a new business doing campaign finance filings. I'm still serving in the Oregon House of Representatives where I chair the House Education Committee and serve as Assistant Majority Leader. Recently, my caucus welcomed new member Rep. Lew Frederick who graduated from Earlham in 1973! You can learn more about my campaign at http://www.saragelser.com . For fun, Peter is playing (and coaching) soccer and I am playing in an adult orchestra. We have plenty of room for guests, and are always eager to catch up with Earlhamites so drop us an email or give us a call if you plan to be in Oregon! ![]()

It was great seeing a bunch of folks at our 15 year reunion at Earlham in October (Emily Smith Asch and Bill Asch '93, James Barber, Amy Napier Becker, Lisa Boyles, Luke Clippinger, Michael Cramer, Arthur and Gwen Gosney Erickson, Wendi Weimer Fowler, Peter and Sara Acres Gelser, Michelle Hall, Steven Jablon, Tobey Layne, Kathryn Fouts Lewis, Michael McKinney, Matthew and Christy Horn McWilliams, Sarah Pope Miksinski, Imani Perkins Murphy, Amy Noe, Jeffrey Perkins, Katie Martin-Renner, Davina Reeves Starke, and Sue Trezevant). Our catered dinner was at the Fourth Floor Blues Club which was a very cool space in downtown Richmond. We shared the space with the class of 1999 (who had a big turnout for their 10 year). Barb Caruso joined us for dinner and it was great catching up with her as well. People came from near and far and we said we'd have to get more people back for our 20th! Hope all is well with everyone. Peace.

Well, I won't be able to make it to the official October reunion, but looking back, I've actually had some of my own mini-reunions this year. In May, I visited Kristin Rosacker Hyser and her husband in Denver, and got to explore the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park. August brought an Albuquerque gathering of the original Fell House inhabitants -- Liz Bowden, Ben Brophy, Gwyneth Doland and myself. The occasion? The Quaker commitment ceremony of Liz and her partner Laura, hosted by Amanda Wilder '95. Additionally, Mary Kennedy '95 & Kate Garduno '95 joined in the festivities. As for me, after graduation, I spent seven years with the Austin Children's Museum, and I am almost at my seven year mark for working at a specialty foods store here in Austin. I keep a blog reviewing places I've eaten in around town, and now consider myself a bit of a food snob! If you're in the area, drop me a line:

Hello classmates, I wanted to send on a note announcing a major milestone for my employer, Oakland School for the Arts. We moved into our recently renovated home - the Fox Theatre in downtown Oakland. The Fox was shuttered for over 30 years and as part of a major revitalization project for downtown it was restored and the school now occupies the 'wrap-around' of the theatre. You can see more details at their websites: http://foxoakland.org, http://www.oakarts.org.
