I'm working as a stage manager in Minneapolis and got married in June. Next summer my husband will finish grad school, and hopefully we'll be moving somewhere in Rockies or farther west.

Josina Cooper Guess
After nearly 4 years working part time as Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministry at Woodland Prebyterian Church in Philadelphia, PA Josina has embarked on the full time adventure of homeschooling her children. She and husband Michael hope to joyfully welcome their fourth child this spring.

Hey Class of 2000,
It is hard to believe our big 10 year reunion will be a year from now!?!?! I know some folks returned to EC this year to get a little taste... But I hope we all can begin making plans to reunite and have fun next October! In the meantime why not send in class notes so we can know what you are up to? As for me I am finishing up an MDiv, which means writing a thesis, and trying to take all the classes that sound really interesting before I graduate. I have gotten really interested in hospital chaplaincy and am studying how hospital chaplains serve limited English Speaking patients for my thesis. I also get to use my Spanish degree from EC because I do my own hospital chaplaincy visits with Spanish speaking patients. Hope you all are well, if you are ever in the Boston or Providence area please let me know! See you soon!

My husband Shoichi and I have just had our first child this June 16th: Rintarou Karl Kanou, a bouncing baby boy! We live together with our sweet dog Rosie in the suburbs of Kobe Japan and any Earlhamites visiting Japan are welcome to look us up.

Ben Huizenga '01 and Seana Harned Huizenga here! Just wanted to let folks know that we have another baby - Toby Oliver was born 2/5/09! He was born on Bekah Fitchett's '01 birthday, so we missed the party. Toby brings our rugrat grand total up to 2, and completes our gender-set with maximum breeding efficiency. There are pictures on Facebook.

Benjamin Aldred
Ben Aldred just completed his PhD in Folklore and American Studies from Indiana University Bloomington. He and Amelia Newcomer-Leas '05 are currently living in Chicago in the Pilsen neighborhood, and he is teaching at Kendall College for the time being.

I'm still working on my PhD in Comparative Literature at the University of Michigan. In September I'll be dragging my dog across the Atlantic again for a 10-month teaching exchange in Paris.

Victoria VanZile and I recently adopted our first child - Bonnie Claire VanZile Wise. She was born August 7th 2008 and we brought her home March 26th 2009.
