I still work as an Admissions Officer for the Mountbatten Internship Programme, a yearlong internship program in London for recent American college graduates. I’ve had a busy year with lots of travel and opportunities to reconnect with classmates. Last June, I met up with Aiko Meneses Miyashita in Japan and we traveled to Kyoto, Hakone and Nikko. Soon after, I attended the wedding of Amanda Ferguson-Cradler and Ben Williams ’01 in Holliston, MA. Many Earlhamites were in attendance including Casey Jones, Emilie Smith, Prairie Hale, Lauren Ogden, Ben Bartlett ’01 and Seth Munson ’01. It was great to see each other again, as some of us hadn’t seen each other since we graduated!

My work related travels took me to CA for a week, where I was able to meet up with Ariel Boone-Worthman in San Francisco and David Keyes ’02 very briefly at the UCSD Career Fair! In January I was in Georgia for more career fairs and saw Lauren Ogden and Sarah Arnett. I also spent a few weeks working out of our office in London and was able to meet up with Aiko Meneses Miyashita one weekend.

I look forward to seeing you all at the five-year reunion in October! It will be a lot of fun and a great opportunity to reconnect with classmates and professors, as well as see all that has changed at Earlham!!

Aprell Carr
Aprell L. Carr has moved back to her home town (South Bend, IN), and is entering her third year of graduate school at the University of Notre Dame for cellular/molecular biology. In addition to studying retinal diseases in the laboratory, she is serving in various leadership roles in the South Bend community, i.e., assisting with initiatives that focus on inner city youth and adult high school education. She wants all of her old EC classmates to come to the '03 class reunion this October! It's worth the trip! See you there!!!

Garrett Bucks
Garrett Bucks and Kjersti Knox live in Madison, WI where Kjersti is a “student” at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of “Medicine” and Public Health and Garrett is an “employee” of Teach “For” America. They invite you to check out their new blog http://hartmanwatch.blogspot.com which remains the Internet’s premier source of news and information about Chris Hartman. They remain charming as ever.

Joe Bolinger
In December, I graduated with my Master's in Public Affairs from Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental Affairs. I've spent the last several years in Bloomington, going to school, working for various nonprofits, playing music, and having a good time with friends and family. I'm about to move to northern New Mexico to help one of my childhood friends raise some grant money for a cool summer camp that he's currently organizing into a nonprofit. I'll probably be starting a PhD program in public policy in the fall, more than likely at IU, unless I become enchanted by the Land of Enchantment and decide to stay there.
