Laura Norlin and Hannah MacDermott '03, of Atlanta, GA, were married on May 23, 2009 under the care of the Atlanta Friends Meeting in a meeting for worship according to the tradition of Friends. It was a joyous occasion with close to 200 friends and family present, including Earlhamites Nancy Smith '60, Trayce Peterson '82, Michael Kramer '91, Jennifer Dickie '91, Lissa Place '94, Mary Garboden '02, Briana Adato '01, Sarah Hartzell '03, Samar Alami, MD '03, Julie Arias '03, Keya Taylor, Julie McClure, Sadie Forsythe '05, Amy Jaret '06, Rachel Leeman-Munk '12, among a few others. After Earlham, Laura and Hannah moved to Atlanta and managed to renovate a house, paint it periwinkle and plant vegetables in the front yard. Laura graduated from the School of the Spirit Spiritual Nurturers Program in the fall of 2008, has coordinated the youth program at the Friends Meeting and loves working for the feminist Charis Books and More. She teaches Spanish at the Friends School of Atlanta. Hannah has used her Spanish in the field of victim advocacy and is now in her first semester at Georgia State University's College of Law.

I'm still in Chapel Hill, NC working at TG2 Artists http://www.tg2artists.com as an agent assistant. I'm learning about the music industry and being groomed to become a booking agent. Because this job has been such a great opportunity, I decided to hold off on getting a Master's in Community Counseling. I hope that everyone had a great time at our five year reunion! Karli Merkens and Michael Brown-Hayes '01 got married twice March 21, 2009 and June 27, 2009 and somehow I didn't get to go either time, but I have enjoyed attending two Earlham weddings: Carrie Seltzer and Matt Grosso in Virginia 4/25/09 and Coco Shea and Aaron Colin 10/17/09 in Chicago. Earlhamites in attendance were Carrie Seltzer, Matt Grosso, Seth Hopper, Beth Wood, Coco Shea, Jen Malley, Gabe Fuson, Melissa Quinn, Tim Shenk, Mark Andreas, Karli Merkens, Michael Brown-Hayes '01, and Jessica Castleberry '05.

Curtis Gutter
Pumla and Curtis are doing well. After spending a few years working in Japan after graduating from Earlham, they came back to Ohio where Curtis got his MBA and Pumla worked as a research assistant for two years. In 2007 they switched roles, and now Curtis is working for Bosch in their Supply Chain Management Rotational Program, while Pumla is getting her MPH (Masters of Public Health).
