Alan Simon '77 majored in Biology. He received a master's degree in Museum Science from Texas Tech University in 1981. Since 1988, he has been the associate director of the Health Sciences Libraries Consortium of Philadelphia. He lives in Paoli, Pennsylvania with his teenage daughter.

Alan began his term on the Alumni Council in 2006 and is currently part of the Marketing Committee.
