Looking Back, Moving Forward
Please mark your calendar for Earlham’s first ever All Black Alumni Celebration — being held during Homecoming and Reunion Weekend October 24-25, 2014.
The weekend will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Gospel Revelations with the opportunity for all former members to join current students on stage for the Friday night concert. Following the concert will be a special cocktail reception featuring Earlham African-American DJs through the decades at Forest Hills Country Club. This will be a time for dancing, reminiscing and fun for all across generations of classes and music in an elegant setting!
On Saturday, in addition to the multiple Homecoming events and athletic competitions, the College will officially commemorate the 90th anniversary of our first African American graduate — Clarence Cunningham, Class of 1924 — by rededicating a newly renovated Cunningham Cultural Center.
This celebration is sponsored by the African American Advisory Board and the Office of Institutional Advancement. We look forward to welcoming you back to campus and hope many alumni will take this opportunity to reconnect with classmates, friends, meet current students and faculty, sing with Revelations and cheer on our athletic teams.
Please see the 2014 Homecoming and Reunion Weekend tentative schedule of events to view the full complement of activities and events occurring over the weekend. Registration will open this summer.
We hope to see you in October!
