The plan for new and renovated facilities in the sciences was developed by Holabird & Root, one of the nation’s preeminent architectural firms, renowned for its expertise in mechanical engineering and its concern for environmental sustainability.

The new vision will intelligently adjust, reorganize and reallocate the labs, classroom and preparation areas of Stanley Hall while providing a much-needed renovation. In addition, new construction will link Dennis Hall and Stanley Hall with new lab and classroom spaces.

The plan allows the College to move forward wisely and confidently. At its completion, the project will provide an expansive space for the sciences, optimally configured to encourage interdisciplinary work and to house the most current equipment.

It will also serve as a model of sustainable technology, a teaching tool for the community, and a welcoming window into scientific practice. The College will pursue LEED certification and follow best practices for sustainability in the design of this facility.
