Earlham at Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Ohio--The Earlham College men's tennis team improved its overall record to 6-5 by sweeping the Quakers from Wilmington College 7-0 here Wednesday.

Earlham scored six points in sweeping all six singles matches, while also claiming the doubles point winning all three matches.

At number one singles Adam Turner (Richmond, IN/Richmond) lost not a game in the afternoon as he defeated Mark Steman 6-0, 6-0. Justin Carrier (Voorheesville, NY/Bouton) defeated Nick Frey 6-0, 6-2. Turner and Carrier earned the win at number one doubles defeating Steman and Adam Johnson, 8-0.

Chuck DiLalla (Cleveland Heights, OH/Cleveland Heights) and Nick Schuller (Lincoln, MA/Concord Academy) won at three and four singles respectively. At number five and six singles Tyler McClave (Dennison, OH/Claymont) and Dave Moora (East Troy, WI/Southern Cayuga) defeated Collin Frake and Joey Overman, 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-1 respectively.

Earlham improves to 6-5 on the season and will host Mount St. Joseph on April 2 at 4 p.m.
