Paul Schroeder (2005)
Paul Schroeder ’87, a four-year
letterwinner for the men’s soccer team, remains Earlham’s
all-time leading scorer with 50 goals and 44 assists. During his
college career, the soccer team posted a 46-32-6 record. Among his
recognitions are three All-America honors from the National Soccer
Coaches Association. Paul was all-conference in the Illinois-Indiana
College Soccer Conference from 1983-85 and in the College Athletic
Conference from 1984-86.
In 1986, the Quakers were National Association
of Intercollegiate Athletics District 21 champions and Schroeder
was earned NAIA all-district and All-America honors. As a senior,
he received Earlham’s Charles Matlack Award, the Wendell M.
Stanley Senior Scholar Athlete Award and the George Van Dyke Outstanding
Athlete Award.
