Ross Smith
(2005) Ross Smith ’54 was a two-sport
athlete while at Earlham College. Smith lettered four years in soccer
and track. Although successful in both sports, he received national
accolades in soccer and was a team captain. Smith was an honorable
mention All-Midwest in 1951, a first team all-conference performer
in 1952 and 1953 and an All-America Honorable Mention selection in
1953. In track, Smith competed in throwing events, earning all-conference
honors in the shot put, discus and javelin. |
