NCAC Honors Carr, Anderson and Morrical

RICHMOND, Ind. — Three members of the Earlham College baseball team were honored by the North Coast Athletic Conference on Monday.

Sophomore third baseman Jake Carr (Richmond, IN/Richmond) was earned a spot on the All-NCAC Second Team. Carr led the Quakers with a .365 batting average and 12 doubles. He was second on the squad with 28 RBI.

Junior pitcher Alex Anderson (Logansport, IN/Logansport) and first-year shortstop Andrew Morrical (Summitville, IN/Madison-Grant) received honorable mention.

Anderson was the named the team’s Most Valuable Player this season after leading the Earlham pitchers with an ERA of 3.98, while tossing six complete games in 10 starts. He was 3-6 and also had a shutout.

Morrical, who was Earlham’s Most Outstanding Newcomer, led the Quakers with 51 hits, six home runs and 29 RBI. He was second on the team with a .364 batting average.
