Quakers Fall at Wabash in NCAC Contest

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — The Earlham College men’s basketball team couldn’t overcome a bad run midway through the first half as the Quakers fell to Wabash College 73-57 Wednesday night in North Coast Athletic Conference action.
Sophomore Tristian Gregory (Evansville, IN/Harrison) led the Quakers with 20 points, while senior LaRon Henry (Indianapolis, IN/Scecina) finished with 13 points and a team-high nine rebounds. Senior Markous Jewett (Richmond, IN/Richmond) added 11 points.
Earlham led 8-5 after a 3-pointer by Henry with 13:31 remaining in the first half, but Wabash scored 10 straight points over the next three minutes to take control 15-8. The Little Giants (5-11, 2-5) widened the gap to 32-19 by intermission.
In the second half, Jewett’s basket with 13:11 left cut the deficit to 39-32 getting the Quakers as close as they would get the rest of the way.
Earlham (5-11, 3-4) entertains Oberlin College Saturday. The NCAC contest on Community Day starts at 3 p.m.
