Quakers Entertain Conference Foe Allegheny

RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College men’s basketball team fell 73-57 to Allegheny College Saturday afternoon on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

Junior Tristian Gregory (Evansville, IN/Harrison) finished with 21 points leading the Quakers against their North Coast Athletic Conference foe.

Senior Terrel Brown (Richmond, IN/Richmond) and sophomores Tarrell Berry (Indianapolis, IN/Northwest) and Justin Carter (Indianapolis, IN/Northwest) tossed in eight points each. Berry led the Quakers with 11 rebounds, which was his third straight 10-rebound performance and sixth of the season.

Allegheny (7-4, 2-1) had the momentum early as the Gators built a 17-9 advantage with 15:08 left in the first half. The Gators eventually led 38-25 late in the opening period before Brown hit a 3-pointer with 22 seconds on the clock to make it 38-28 by intermission.

Earlham closed the gap to 49-44 midway through the second half before the Gators finished the contest with 24-13 run to put the game away.

The Quakers (2-10, 0-3) play at Kenyon College next Saturday. The NCAC game is at 3 p.m. Box score.
