RICHMOND, Ind. — A barrage of 3-pointers provided the Earlham College men’s basketball team with the boost it needed to post a 79-73 victory over Ohio Wesleyan University Saturday afternoon on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.
Earlham trailed 34-27 at intermission in the North Coast Athletic Conference contest as the Quakers were celebrating Senior Day before hitting five straight 3-pointers to start the second half as part of a 15-1 run in three minutes.
Senior Neil Collins (Ft. Wayne, IN/North) hit the first two treys to cut the deficit to 35-33 with 18:51 remaining in the contest. Senior Terrel Brown (Richmond, IN/Richmond) nailed the next long bomb to give the Quakers a 36-35 advantage at 18:17 mark.

The Bishops (15-7, 10-4) pulled to within one point three times the rest of the way, but could never take the lead. The Quakers put the game away in the final moments as junior Tristian Gregory (Evansville, IN/Harrison) hit 3-of-4 from the free-throw line.
Earlham Head Coach Jeff Justus was smiling as he discussed the win and his three seniors Collins, Brown and Nick Welsh (Muncie, IN/Wes-Del), who were recognized before the game. “When we make shots, good things happen," Justus said. "It was very rewarding to see our seniors come together. Neil, Terrel and Nick all played great floor games, and Tristian and Justin sure stepped up on the offensive end.”
Gregory led the Quakers with 23 points, while Carter added 16 points and a game-high six assists. Collins finished with 14 points as he led the Quakers with seven rebounds.
Ohio Wesleyan appeared on its way to a victory in the first half as the Bishops erased an early 3-2 Earlham lead to build a 15-point advantage before the Quakers were get back into the game by halftime to set the stage for the decisive stretch in the second half.
