Mahle Leads Quakers in NCAC Championships

Oct. 27, 2007

GAMBIER, Ohio — Senior Dan Mahle led the Earlham College men’s cross country as the Quakers participated in the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday at Kenyon College.

Mahle (Boulder, CO/Shining Mountain Waldorf) earned a spot on the All-NCAC Second Team with a 12th place finish with time of 26:33.

The other Earlham runners to score were:
• Senior Mark Boylan (Holliston, MA/Holliston) 42nd in 27:49.
• Sophomore Evan Fackler (Shelby, OH/Plymouth) 50th in 28:21.
• Sophomore Adam Tobin (Weston, CT/Weston) 51st in 28:27.
• Junior James Haley (Bloomington, IN/South) 60th in 29:47. 

Earlham was 9th of 10 teams with Allegheny College winning the title.

Next up for the Quakers is the NCAA Div. III Great Lakes Regional on Nov. 10, in Grand Rapids, Mich. The meet begins at 11 a.m.
