Annual EC Golf Outing

For Immediate Release:
June 17, 2007

RICHMOND, Ind. — The third annual Earlham College football golf outing was on Saturday at the Elks Country Club.

There were 25 teams with five decades of Earlham football from the 1960s to the present represented. The proceeds from the event go to the purchase travel clothing for current team members. The team of Mike Olexia, Robert Hoskins and David Bachman won the event, while Stan Hill was given the annual EC football alumni award for service to the program.

Current Earlham football player junior Tilmon Clark (Winchester, IN/Winchester) had the longest drive. John Franz, father of former player Brad Franz, was of the closest to the pin awards. Curt Hosier, father of former player Jeremy Hosier and current player junior Drew Hosier (Gas City, IN/Mississenewa) won the putting contest.

Next year's event to be held at the Elks on June 14, 2008. Check out some photos.
