Assistant Coach Nick Johnson
Nick Johnson is a 2001 Earlham College graduate and doubles as the school’s assistant football and head track coach. Nick coaches the defensive line that has made a tremendous amount of improvement.
As a player for the Quakers, he was a four-year letterman and defensive lineman. He shares an Earlham football record with four quarterback sacks in a single game and led the team in sacks as a senior with nine.
“Nick is the epitome of what we are doing as a football program,” Keesling said. “As a player, he was a great student of the game and as a coach he is an outstanding teacher.”
In addition to his coaching duties, Nick serves as assistant professor in the Athletic and Wellness program. Nick and his wife Melissa live in Richmond and they serve co-directors for the school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
