Darrell Beane Stadium
A new chapter in Earlham's football history is beginning in 2007.
The Quakers played on M.O. Ross Field for the final time in 2006 in its present configuration. Construction of Darrell M. Beane Memorial Stadium began in January, 2007. The 2,000-seat facility is going to be built around M.O. Ross Field.
The late Darrell Beane was a 1955 graduate of Earlham and generous supporter of all of our athletic programs, especially football.
Plans call for a new 6,500-square foot facility to be located at the east end of the field. It will contain public rest rooms, concessions, training room, coaches' locker room, 90 lockers, showers and equipment storage. The new home grandstand, with a 40-person press box, will be on the south side of the field with visitor seating moving to the north side. A new scoreboard will be placed at the west end of the field.
As Earlham looks forward to the future, Darrell M. Beane Memorial Stadium will become one of the top football facilities in the North Coast Athletic Conference.
