Quakers fall in non-conference match on the road

UPLAND, Ind. — After a scoreless first half on Wednesday, the Earlham College men's soccer team fell to Taylor University 2-1.

Earlham trailed 2-0, when first-year Victor Anciano (San Antonio-Altos, Venezuela/Armand Hammer) scored on a penalty kick late in the contest. Taylor out shot the Quakers 21-13 and junior goalkeeper Jon O'Neil (West Lafayette, IN/West Lafayette) recorded 10 saves.

The Quakers (1-6) return to action on Saturday at home against Ohio Wesleyan University. The North Coast Athletic Conference match starts at 2 p.m. on Matlack Field. Box score
