Quakers drop match to ranked team at home

RICHMOND, Ind. —
An upset bid by the Earlham College men's soccer team vanished quickly on Saturday
as the Quakers fell to North Coast Athletic Conference foe Ohio Wesleyan University
3-1 on Matlack Field.
After grabbing an early 1-0 advantage against the
fifth-ranked Bishops, the Quakers surrendered a goal just before
the first half ended. Ohio

(9-0, 1-0) added two more goals within the first three minutes of the second
half to take command of the contest.
Sophomore Jacob O'Brien (Logansport, IN/Logansport)
scored Earlham's goal at 13:08 to put the Quakers ahead. Earlham

Jon O'Neil (West Lafayette, IN/West Lafayette),
who
saw

shots
on the day, had nine saves.
The Quakers (1-7, 0-1) are at Franklin
