Late goal hurts Quakers in NCAC contest

WOOSTER, Ohio —
A second half goal off a penalty kick was the difference on Saturday as Wooster
defeated the Earlham College men’s soccer team 2-1.
The Wooster score
at 76:31 broke the 1-1 deadlock in the North Coast Athletic Conference match.
Earlham first-year Victor Anciano (San Antonio-Altos, Venezuela/Armand Hammer)
tied the contest at 69:24 finding the net on a loose ball after a
corner
kick.
Earlham junior goalkeeper
Jon O’Neil (West Lafayette, IN/West
Lafayette) had five saves.
The Quakers (3-9, 0-3) entertain
Wabash College Tuesday on Matlack Field. The NCAC contest begins
