Quakers Drop Non-Conference Contest

RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College men’s soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to Manchester College Wednesday afternoon on Matlack Field.

Manchester scored first before the Quakers tied the contest at 1-1 with a goal by junior Nhlanhla Maduna (Ezulwini, Swaziland/Li Po Chun) at 34:39. First-year Omar Dreidi (Ramallah, Palestine/International) was credited with an assist on the play.

The Spartans (6-4) added two unanswered goals in the second half to put the game away.

Senior goalie Jon O’Neil (West Lafayette, IN/West Lafayette) had three saves for Earlham as the Quakers had a 14-11 advantage in shots.

Earlham (5-6) visits Oberlin College on Saturday. The NCAC match begins at 2:30 p.m.
