Earlham Opens Season Against Capital

RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College men’s soccer team opened the season with a 3-0 loss to Capital University on Matlack Field in the first round of the El Rodeo Raven-Quaker Classic.

The Crusaders scored once in the first half and added a pair of goals in the second period. Capital led 15-14 in shots and had eight corner kicks, while Earlham had five.

Kyle Thompson (Elmhurst, IL/York Community) had six saves for the Quakers.

Earlham (0-1) faces Spalding University on Saturday as the El Rodeo Raven-Quaker Classic continues at 3 p.m. Box score.
