Quakers Play Road Contest at Taylor

UPLAND, Ind. — The Earlham College men’s soccer team traveled to Taylor University on Tuesday and dropped a 3-1 decision to the Trojans.
Taylor scored once in the first half and added another in the second period before the Quakers got on the scoreboard. Senior Nhlanhla Maduna (Ezulwini, Swaziland/Li Po Chun) scored at 64:25 with an assist from junior Victor Anciano (San Antonio-Altos, Venezuela/Armand Hammer).
The Trojans had an 18-10 edge in shots with a 5-4 advantage corner kicks.
First-year goalkeeper Jonah Kreniske (New York, NY/Manhattan Center for Science and Math) had eight saves for Earlham.
Earlham (2-5) stays on the road for its next contest on Sunday against Kenyon College. The North Coast Athletic Conference match begins at 4 p.m. Box score.
