Quakers Post Non-Conference Victory

FRANKLIN, Ind. — Senior Chris Sloan scored two goals on Wednesday as the Earlham College men’s soccer team defeated Franklin College 3-1.
Sloan (Bethesda, MD/Sidwell Friends) scored at 20:23 of the first half to give the Quakers a 2-0 advantage by intermission. After Franklin scored, Sloan found the net at 89:25 for the final tally of the contest.
Sophomore Omar Dreidi (Ramallah, Palestine/International) assisted on Sloan’s initial goal and first-year Bannett Asingura (Mbarara, Uganda/United World College) helped on the second.
Senior Atiq Zamani (Bloomington, IN/North) scored Earlham’s first goal at 4:25 on a penalty kick at 4:25.
First-year goalkeeper Jonah Kreniske (New York, NY/Manhattan Center for Science and Math) had a pair of saves for the Quakers.
Earlham (3-6) visits Allegheny College on Saturday. The North Coast Athletic Conference contest begins at 10 a.m. Box score.
