Quakers Finish Season with Two Straight Wins

WOOSTER, Ohio — The Earlham College men’s soccer team finished the season with two straight victories as the Quakers beat the College of Wooster 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Chris Sloan (Bethesda, MD/Sidwell Friends) gave the Quakers all of the offense they would need in the North Coast Athletic Conference contest with an unassisted goal at 2:11 of the opening period.
Wooster led 16-13 in shots and 4-3 in corner kicks. First-year goalkeeper Kyle Thompson (Elmhurst, IL/York Community) had six saves for the Quakers as he recorded his second shutout of the week and the season.
Saturday was the last match for Sloan and classmates Atiq Zamani (Bloomington, IN/North), David Hibbard-Rode (Minneapolis, MN/South), Nhlanhla Maduna (Ezulwini, Swaziland/Li Po Chun), Will Nacev (Ft. Thomas, KY/Seven Hills), Matt Smith (Columbia Crossroads, PA/George), Mac Bol (Nairobi, Kenya/Li Po Chun), and Zac Schmitz (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore).
Earlham ends the fall at 7-11 overall and 4-5 in the conference.Box score.
