Post Second Victory of the Spring

RICHMOND,
Ind. — The Earlham College men’s tennis
team swept all six singles matches on Saturday as the Quakers
defeated
Miami-Hamilton 7-0.
The Quakers are now 2-0 this spring. “We’ve had a good
start,” Earlham coach Justin Carrier said. “Our confidence
is growing as we prepare for the rest of the season, but we still
need some work in doubles.”
Junior Scott Miller (Greensburg, IN/Greensburg),
senior Nate Henderson (Hyde Park, MA/Concord), junior Peter DiLalla
(Cleveland
Heights,
OH/Cleveland Heights), first-year Shiro Fukuzawa (Nagano, Japan),
senior David Peake (Fredericksburg, TX/St. Stephen Episcopal) and
sophomore Sergey Grechukhin (Nizny Novgorod, Russia/United World
College) all posted straight set victories in singles.
Miller and Henderson won at No. 1 doubles, while DiLalla and Fukuzawa
earned a win at No. 2. Miami-Hamilton won at No. 3 doubles.
Earlham returns to action Wednesday at home
against Mount St. Joseph. The non-conference contest begins at
3:30 p.m. Scoresheet.
