Upend Manchester

N. MANCHESTER, Ind. — After sweeping
the doubles point on Thursday, the Earlham College men’s tennis
team went on to post a 5-2 victory over Manchester College.
Junior Scott Miller (Greensburg, IN/Greensburg) and
senior Nate Henderson (Hyde Park, MA/Concord) won at No. 1 doubles.
Junior Peter DiLalla
(Cleveland Heights, OH/Cleveland Heights) and first-year Shiro Fukuzawa
(Nagano, Japan) were victorious at No.2.
In their initial match of the season as a duo, first-years Owen
Coursin (Gilsum, NH/Proctor Academy) and Darut Prasertsri (Bangkok,
Thailand/United World College) picked up a win at No. 3 doubles.
Miller (No. 1), Henderson (No. 2), DiLalla (No.
3) and Fukuzawa (No. 4) all won in singles. “It was nice to get back on the
court and get a win,” Earlham coach Justin Carrier said after
his team missed playing last weekend due to weather conditions.
The Quakers (6-3) return to action on Saturday for
their final home matches of the season against Ohio Wesleyan University
(9 a.m.) and
Wabash College (3 p.m.). Scoresheet.
