N. MANCHESTER, Ind. — After sweeping the doubles point on Thursday, the Earlham College men’s tennis team went on to post a 5-2 victory over Manchester College.

Junior Scott Miller (Greensburg, IN/Greensburg) and senior Nate Henderson (Hyde Park, MA/Concord) won at No. 1 doubles. Junior Peter DiLalla (Cleveland Heights, OH/Cleveland Heights) and first-year Shiro Fukuzawa (Nagano, Japan) were victorious at No.2.

In their initial match of the season as a duo, first-years Owen Coursin (Gilsum, NH/Proctor Academy) and Darut Prasertsri (Bangkok, Thailand/United World College) picked up a win at No. 3 doubles.

Miller (No. 1), Henderson (No. 2), DiLalla (No. 3) and Fukuzawa (No. 4) all won in singles. “It was nice to get back on the court and get a win,” Earlham coach Justin Carrier said after his team missed playing last weekend due to weather conditions.

The Quakers (6-3) return to action on Saturday for their final home matches of the season against Ohio Wesleyan University (9 a.m.) and Wabash College (3 p.m.). Scoresheet.
