Quakers Face St. Joseph's in Home Opener

RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College men’s tennis dropped it initial home contest of the season Saturday afternoon as the Quakers fell 6-3 to St. Joseph’s College on the Trueblood Fieldhouse Courts in the Athletics and Wellness Center.
The Quakers won a pair of singles matches and one contest in doubles. “The men continue to improve every day,” Earlham Head Coach Justin Carrier said.
Seniors Scott Miller (Greensburg, IN/Greensburg) and Peter DiLalla (Cleveland Heights, OH/Cleveland Heights) were the winners in singles. Miller beat John Simon 7-5, 6-4 at No. 1, while DiLalla defeated Brandon Ward 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (9) at No. 2.
At No. 3 doubles, sophomore Darut Prasertsri (Bangkok, Thailand/United World College) and first-year Jascha Pick (Putney, VT/Brattleboro Union) defeated Richard Ewbank and Matt Frankowski 8-3.
Earlham (0-2) visits Franklin College next Saturday, March 10. The non-conference match is at 11 a.m. Scoresheet.— EC —
