Quakers Fall in NCAC Match at Wittenberg

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — Earlham College seniors Scott Miller and Pete DiLalla combined for all of the wins for the Quakers in men’s tennis action on Saturday in a 5-3 loss to Wittenberg University at the Springfield Racquet Club.
The duo defeated Brad Seymour and Craig Lods 8-3 at No. 1 doubles before posting wins in singles in the North Coast Athletic Conference match.
Miller (Greensburg, IN/Greensburg) won 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 over Seymour at No. 1 singles, while DiLalla (Cleveland Heights, OH/Cleveland Heights) beat Lods 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2. The singles contest at No. 6 was called off when the Tigers clinched the match.
Earlham (0-7, 0-2) returns to the court next Saturday at Oberlin College. The NCAC match begins at 10 a.m. Scoresheet.— EC —
